A Few Thoughts on the Manunggal Race

Last Sunday...

At one point, some guy tried going toe-to-toe with @ChyrelGomez. He got off his saddle, jersey zippered down, grinding his pedals and heart out.

He ended up pushing his bike. If you're a cyclist, you know what that means. There are two lessons we can learn here:

1. Never underestimate a cyclist even if she's a girl, even if he has a cheap bike, and even if he does not have nasty tan lines. You'll never know who you're dealing with. Years of competing thought me one huge lesson: respect. I've been on the humiliating end many times so I know ;)

 2. If your sprint is just someone's regular pace, let it go. It's okay to show some heart. But there are fights that you just can't win.
